Family Nurse Practitioner

A Florida native, Ms. Tackitt received her BSN/RN degree from the University of South Florida and completed her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Helen received her training in urology at the University of Colorado.

Helen's clinical background includes over four years in hospital settings providing full patient care in multiple disciplines and clinical settings where she provided care to urology patients. In addition to patient care, Helen has played an integral part in multiple urology research projects and spent several years teaching RN students in clinical and classroom settings.

Helen enjoys caring for patients with all urologic problems and specializes in the assessment and treatment of BHP, kidney stones, neurogenic bladder, incontinence and interstitial cystitis. She is also instrumental in the performance and assessment of Urodynamic studies.

Helen moved to North Carolina in 2008 and joined Wake Urological Associates in 2009. Helen is an excellent addition to our staff of providers and we are excited to have our patients taken care of by such a knowledgeable and caring individual.
