Dr. Kane, president of Wake Urological Associates, P.A., has been practicing medicine in Raleigh, N.C. as a board certified urologist since 1978. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary's College of Minnesota in 1967 and earned his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1971. He completed his post graduate studies with residencies in surgery and urology at Duke University Medical Center from 1971-1977. He was born in Gary, Indiana but has called North Carolina home since 1971.
Dr. Kane is a member of several professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the International Society of Impotence Research, and the North Carolina Urological Association. He has served as Chief of Surgery at Raleigh Community Hospital, Chief of Surgery at Rex Hospital, and is currently Chief of Staff at Rex Hospital.
He is married to a Greensboro native and has one daughter. His favorite activity is spending time with his family, but loves bicycling, wood-working and fishing. He is very active in his church and is an avid student of history.
